Bispham with Norbreck Mark Advancement

Bispham with Norbreck MMM No866 have kicked off the start of the Masonic season with their first candidate Bro Anthony Hanson. Bro Hanson was the first candidate to be advanced into Bispham with Norbreck Mark in the newly refurbished lower temple at Adelaide Street, Blackpool. The Lodge room is now a delightful setting for a Mark meeting.

The Worshipful Master Bro Michael Shakeshaft was pleased to invite the Senior Warden of the Province W.Bro Giles Berkley to occupy the chair for the advancement ceremony. Bro Hanson was advanced in a terrific ceremony observed by 45 brethren from this and other provinces.

The Worshipful Master was pleased to have 5 visiting brethren from Cumberland MMM lodge No 60 who meet in Carlisle in the province of Cumberland and Westmorland where he runs a successful entertainment business.

Bro John Chapman gave a faultless explanation of the working tools and the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Masters special representative W.Bro John Forster P.G.Stwd. handed Bro Hanson a letter from the Provincial Grand Master welcoming him into Mark Masonry. He congratulated all those who had taken part in what had been a wonderful ceremony of Advancement.

Bro Anthony John Hind was presented with his Grand lodge certificate by the Worshipful Master and an explanation was given by the secretary W.Bro. Andrew Dickson P.Prov.G.S.W. The Lodge has candidates for its November and January meetings and is looking forward to a mini provincial team visit, at the lodge Installation in February.
